and this is just the tip of the iceberg!  There are Rottweilers in every shelter of our country. Most do not make it out alive!

LETS MEET

ronnie

I am RONNIE.  I was lost in the streets of Miami. It was the same time a President had died.  That is how I was named, RONNIE!

I have been lost for a long time.  My family never looked for me.  I spent lots of years loving my people, but they really never cared for me.

Now I am old. How old?  Maybe 10, or more.

I thought I was going to die in this hot summer. But, a lady took pity of me and contacted GUARDIAN ANGELS.

I was transported to a clinic where I stayed for a while. I was SICK, very sick with a cold.

I came to live with a lady named Grace. She has been taking care of me and giving me medication. I am now fine and feeling great.

But, I need your help in finding me a permanent home.

No, not like the one I had before. I want to be indoors, I want to be loved and spend my last days returning my love to you.

I NEED A HOME, PLEASE.
I promise I will be good. I know I have not much time left, but I cannot die without the opportunity of returning my unconditional love to you.

Open your heart and listen to what God is whispering in your ears.

I love you,

ronnie

AND ON SEPTEMBER 18, 2004
I WAS GIVEN A NEW HOME!

How will explain this good feeling of knowing I will finally have a home of my own, and at the same time the sadness I have in my heart leaving the ONLY home where I felt loved?  I will miss Fritz, one of my caretakers, and of course, I will ALWAYS love Grace.  She looked sad when I left. Look at my picture in the crate. I tried hard to smile for her to see how happy I was.

Let me introduce you to "MY FAMILY"

from left to right, DANIELLE, FRANKIE, LAURA & FRANK DiSARLO
they drove over 3 hours from Orlando to Miami to get me!

meet DANIELLE AND FRANKIE, my new brother and sister

and I got a NEW COLLAR AND LEASH!  I heard Laura say:
"He looks great in red"

and I got a new car, too!

Grace, look at me now. Don't be sad, remember what I have always heard you say...
"Ronnie, God has a loving home waiting for you"
Thank YOU!
I will NEVER, never forget you.

RONNIE

and at 8:26 PM from Orlando...

Dear Grace:

We all made it home safely about 6:30 p.m.  Ronnie and Emmitt were introduced on the front lawn and all went perfectly.  Ronnie checked out our big back yard, then in the house.  He did mark a few spots, but who cares.  After everyone had some fun in the back yard, we brought everyone in to eat.  Ronnie ate all his food and did not show any aggression.  Of course we fed Emmitt at the same time, but a separate area.  Then it was back outside, inside, outside, etc.

We introduced Ronnie to his new bed which is in Danielle's room.  All week she has been hoping that Ronnie would sleep in her room.  Well, Ronnie laid down on his big orthopedic bed, sighed, and adjusted himself til he was comfortable.  Danielle sat with him and petted him.  We turned on the ceiling fan and night light.  Ronnie fell fast asleep as Danielle was petting him.

I think Ronnie will be in heaven here.  We have alot of love and attention to give him.  I truly believe that the animals seek us out.
So, Ronnie has sought us out and is supposed to be a part of our family.

Grace and Yolanda we can't thank you both enough for taking such loving good care of Ronnie.  God bless both of you!!
Yolanda it would have been a pleasure to meet you also, too bad that didn't work out, but I know we will meet in the future.
Grace, it was an absolute pleasure to meet you today.  We will keep in touch with you both to let you know how Ronnie is doing.
You can both feel assured knowing that he is sound asleep right now on his big orthopedic bed in Danielle's room.
Thank you both!!
Love, Laura, Frankie, Danielle, and Frankie DiSarlo, and Emmitt and Ronnie
