There are Rottweilers in every shelter of our country. Most do not make it out alive!

HER HAPPY ENDING ON 8/22/04

ON  July 15, 2004

Her story begins with Monika Malow, who writes:

"I saw her on the website at that horrible shelter. She was all curled up and looked like she had given up and was ready to die. It broke my heart to see this dog like this and even though I live on the west coast of Canada I knew I had to try and get her out. Her little face and body all curled up is forever etched in my mind. I posted on Rottweiler Net (machorottie is my name) and on Rottweiler Chat (rotten2) for help. That wonderful rescue lady came and got her out and to the vets. Then the wonderful volunteers to helped drive her to you. I wished I could have met her"

and a phone call from Vicki Almy and Toni Ligouri who is the Foster Coordinator for Southern States Rottweiler Rescue to Linda Money.   Linda was asked to go to the Memphis Animal Shelter and get this poor dog out into rescue.  The dog was taken to a clinic for treatment.

I need a home, pretty pleeeaasse! HELP ME!

I am in Memphis, TN. but soon I will be transported to Florida by volunteers who are going to drive me down. Look at me!

My head, my side, my rear.  I am told I am a mess. I know I am a pretty girl, at least I was told that by the people who had me.  But, soon after that, I was left in the backyard and never again they cared for me! And... I loved them!

Am not bad, am I?  I have a great body and I promise, I will be PRETTY AGAIN!

Please, give me ONE MORE chance!

BELLE IS READY FOR HER NEW HOME
We know there is a GUARDIAN ANGEL who God has already CHOSEN!

and her GUARDIAN ANGEL showed up!

Meet TOM MCKINLEY!
The morning after I posted about CAROLINA LILLY, another needy rescue, Tom called my house.  He sounded very sad.  He left a message on my phone and said that his female Rottweiler had passed away from cancer two days earlier.  His girl had been a rescue also. Now, he was looking for another rescue.  I called him back and talked to him about MEMPHIS BELLE and sent him her webpage.   And guess what happened.

MEMPHIS BELLE looked exactly like the girl Tom lost!

A MATCH MADE IN HEAVEN BY TOM'S GIRL!

Tom drove almost FOUR HOURS to pick up Belle. His only concern was his TWO CATS!

I knew MEMPHIS BELLE had an excellent temperament and I was praying that her arrival at her new home and the meeting with her new friends was a success.

Today, 24 hours later, the report is EXCELLENT!

MEMPHIS BELLE has a home, two friends and a new DAD.  She slept all night by Tom's bedroom door on the tile floor and at 5 a.m. woke him up to go potty.  Tom says MEMPHIS BELLE follows him around the house all day long.

ANOTHER ROTTWEILER SAVED AT THE LAST MOMENT!
Why, I have wondered many times. Why?

AND I GOT MY ANSWER with MEMPHIS BELLE'S RESCUE...

IT WAS BECAUSE
TOM MCKINLEY NEEDED HER!

God knows best
