MADDIE AND FAITH
a SAD STORY
Abandoned after a divorce - pictured here after their rescue - latest pictures
at the end of their story
We will tell you our story...
We lived a good life in Hawaii! We had been
together for years in a home where we thought we were LOVED.
There were happy kids, lots of fun and people who thought we were the best dogs
in the world. We moved to the United States and got a new house.
We don't know exactly what happened. One day
we heard our family fighting, screaming at each other.
We went hiding into our room thinking it was about us they were arguing
about.
We asked each other,
"What did you do?" We both agreed that we were not the
cause of this nasty argument. And so, we waited in there until things cooled
off.
A few days later we went for a ride in our car. We loved riding in the car with our family. We would look out the window and loved to feel the wind on our face. We were so happy! We bet each other that either we were going to the beach or to the pet store. We loved playing at the beach with "our" kids, and at the pet store we always went to the Toy Department. But, this time it was different...
We arrived at this place that looked like a
clinic. We could hear dogs barking from the parking lot.
Oh boy! We hated to go to the clinic. We really did not want to get out of
the car. This time we were "forced" out the car, pulled with a
force we never experience before.
Again, we asked each other, "What did you do?"
We went in and a stranger came and took us in into this AWFUL CLINIC. While we were walking away we heard our owner say: "PUT THEM DOWN!"
We both immediately understood the command and went DOWN ON THE FLOOR!
It was then that we knew there was something wrong, very wrong. We were PULLED and walked into different kennels. The place was FULL of dogs, all talking to us. The things they told us you do not want to hear! We were so scared.
Someone at this scary place took pity on us. She saw the fear in our faces and she knew we were GOOD GIRLS. She loudly said, "We cannot PUT THEM DOWN. These are two nice girls"
We smiled, we wagged our tails, we tried kissing this person.
We don't know how many days passed. We were
separated by a fence, and both were very depressed.
We could not understand the word "divorce" we had heard so many times.
We hated that word because it was what ended us up in this awful place.
One day, we were moved by some GUARDIAN
ANGELS. We loved these Guardian Angels! We ended up at a real CLINIC this
time. The people there were different, we were hugged, kissed, bathed,
loved.
Only one thing remained the same, we were separated by this stupid
"fence". We each had a "run".
We realized then that we probably would NEVER BE TOGETHER AGAIN!
A month went by, we adapted to our new life but remained DEEPLY depressed. So depressed we did not care anymore if we heard the words "PUT DOWN" again. We missed our family, we missed being together.
Oh, one day a miracle happened! We
went to live at the HOME OF A GUARDIAN ANGEL! We were picked up at the
clinic by "Yoly", a lady who had visited us at the clinic very
often.
We went RIDING IN A CAR AGAIN! We were together AGAIN! We kissed
each other as it was the last day of our lives!
When we got to our new place, we were greeted with hugs, kisses. No more separation! We are now living together, and each have our own "house" with bedding, toys and bones!
Here are two pictures taken yesterday, November 25, 2004.
We have been promised that we will never,
never be separated again!
If you want us, we BOTH HAVE TO GO TOGETHER!
This we promise, we will be THE BEST dogs you have ever owned!
On Thanksgiving Day, we got up early in
the morning and looked up at the raising sun
We both kissed each other and said: "THANK YOU GOD!"
